A quirky scientist is tampering with temporal anomalies when he is assigned a body-guard to protect him. 

While performing his latest test he accidentally transports himself and his bodyguard back to the 12th century, and they are forced to seek the assistance of the most prominent scientists of this era to make their way back home. 

The body-guard utilizes her latent skills as a hit-woman to help the scientist get home safely without disrupting history.
